Our very own chef and owner, trained in African history and Sociology narrates with passion the origin and evolution of the dishes presented.

Calling Vegans, Vegetarians, Good foods lovers, Community builders, supporters of scratch cooking and culture hungry folks. We are building bridges, creating friendship and forward- moving conversations about the world around us via foods prepared with love!
Our Communal Meals invite you to a discovery and an experience that pushes you deliciously outside of your comfort zone!
What to expect:
- Monthly Communal Meal scheduled by Yollande Deacon at Irie Zulu
- One table of 20 seats – No assigned seating. Guests are encouraged to seat and mingle with strangers
- Reservation only seatings (First Seating 11-12:30PM and Second Seating 1- 2:30PM)
- Food is served Family style and guests are encouraged to pass dishes among themselves and help each other
- Yollande Deacon will spend 10-15 min narrating the meal based on the theme chosen for the day
- 5-6 dishes will be served (1 appetizer, 3-4 entrees and 1 dessert)
