Afro Fusion Cuisine owner to open Irie Zulu, an African and Jamaican restaurant in Wauwatosa
A restaurant by the owner of specialty foods company Afro Fusion Cuisine will open in Wauwatosa, serving African and Jamaican dishes.
Yollande Deacon is buying the building at 7237 W. North Ave. to open the restaurant, called Irie Zulu, and a production kitchen for her line of spices and sauces. The site previously housed a bridal shop.
Deacon is from Cameroon, and her husband is from Jamaica. Read more at JS Online.
Afro Fusion to open kitchen & tasting space in Tosa
In 2004, Yollande Tchouapi (Deacon), walked down the aisle of the Church of the Gesu wearing a wedding gown she purchased at Kay Bridal, 7237 W. North Ave. in Wauwatosa.
Interestingly, later today Deacon will finalize a deal to purchase the former Kay Bridal property, turning the building into a commercial kitchen and tasting room and beginning a new chapter for her business Afro Fusion Cuisine. Read more at OnMilwaukee.
